When I checked into this hotel, the first thing that hit me was the strong smell of mildew as I entered the room. It looked like they hadn't dusted in months, and everything felt outdated and a bit gross. However, the location was convenient, right across from the Starline Ferry, and close to various restaurants. The service was lacking, with staff being inattentive and even chatting with personal friends on the phone instead of acknowledging waiting guests. The dining options were limited, with processed gravy that left much to be desired. Overall, the value for money was questionable considering the issues with cleanliness and service.
The hotel is conveniently located right across from the ferry docks, making it ideal for visiting the island. The rooms, although old, were clean. The service was lacking friendliness but functional. The dining options were disappointing, especially during the off-season. Despite some drawbacks, the location makes it great for families and those traveling to nearby attractions.
The hotel was supposed to be ready at 3 which was quite inconvenient, and it did not look like the pictures. On a positive note, it was nice to have the conference room opened for us by the helpful staff. However, there were instances of rude service during our stay.
